Tenants at Tucson International Airport (TUS) or Ryan Airfield (RYN) planning to make alterations or changes to facilities are required to coordinate their plans with the Tucson Airport Authority. Use the form below to submit necessary information for approval and coordination.

The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all users of Tucson International Airport (TUS) and Ryan Airfield (RYN) through an organized response to emergency situations and proactive education and prevention activities.
The Public Safety effort provides a broad range of programs to protect the airport community from the adverse effects of crime, fire, sudden medical emergency or exposure to dangerous conditions.
Personnel in TAA’s Airport Police and Fire departments undergo constant training to maintain the highest level of service to airport tenants, visitors and passengers.
TUS is located in Pima County on property owned by the City of Tucson and operated by the TAA under a long-term lease. The airport’s Police and Fire departments are fully accredited agencies operated by the TAA. They work closely with other city and county jurisdictions including the City of Tucson Police Department, Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Arizona Air National Guard.

Airport Badging
The Tucson Airport Authority Airport Security Office (ASO) is responsible for issuing airport identification badges to employees, tenants and sub-tenants of the Tucson International Airport (TUS) who require unescorted access to restricted, secured, sterile or airport operational areas.
Badge issuance is limited to those who are employed or sponsored by a tenant of TUS; have a frequent and reoccurring need for access; and have cleared the FBI-based Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessment (STA). The ASO will collaborate with TUS Airside Operations regarding those applicants who as a function of their employment and as certified by their employer require driving approval on the airside of TUS.

PFC Application Public Comment Period Now Open
The Tucson Airport Authority intends to submit a new Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) application to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for three projects at Tucson International Airport (TUS).

The Federal Aviation Administration is announcing its adoption of the Written Re-Evaluation (dated December 2021) of the 2020 Adoption of an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for its federal action of approving an Airport Layout Plan update for the Tucson International Airport located in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. This page includes notices of meetings of the Tucson Airport Authority Board of Directors, advisory councils, and other public meetings and events involving the TAA and its airports.
The Tucson Airport Authority’s public notices display board and the Board Room are adjacent to the Center Gallery, which is on the departure level of the Tucson International Airport terminal, located at 7250 South Tucson Boulevard, Tucson, AZ, 85756. The Center Gallery is between the Southwest and Delta ticket counters, and behind the Arroyo Trading Post. The notices are viewable 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
