Roadway Construction To Close TUS Cell Phone Lot June 15-30

The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) is asking visitors who use Tucson International Airport (TUS) to plan ahead if they intend to use the Cell Phone Waiting Lot before picking up passengers starting June 15. A roadway improvement project will shut down a popular connector street near the terminal through June 30.

The construction area is on Airport Drive between Plumer Avenue and the lanes that approach both levels of the TUS terminal (see exhibit below). This segment of Airport Drive is the main access point for the Cell Phone Waiting Lot.  To accommodate users, the TAA has designated a temporary lot near the corner of Plumer Avenue and Elvira Road.

Signage will be placed in high-visibility areas along Tucson Boulevard, Plumer Avenue, Elvira Road, and Corona Road to assist drivers with the required detour. The TAA appreciates your patience and understanding during this vital improvement project.
