Tucson, Ariz. (July 10, 2013) - Starting today, Tucsonans picking up incoming loved ones at Tucson International Airport (TIA) have a tasty new way to refuel. Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) is partnering with Tucson Food Truck Roundup to offer a series of food truck dining opportunities.
"This will enhance the experience for our airport visitors and provide an opportunity for local business owners," said Dick Gruentzel, TAA's vice president of administration and finance and CFO.
Future trucks and locations will rotate around the airport in order to make the mobile fare available to many of the 13,000 employees who work at the airport. The first, Chef's Kitchen, is rolling in at 11 a.m. and will remain at the airport's Cell Phone Waiting Lot until 1: 30 p.m. Tomorrow, Lucky Girl Café will also feed the lot's lunch crowd with fusion burgers.
