Tucson, Ariz. (May 28, 2013)-Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) was recently awarded a 2013 Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). PRSA's Bronze Anvil Awards program recognizes and honors the best public relations tactics executed each year.
The winning tactic was a presentation entitled "Airport-wide Customer Service Initiatives," which TAA's President and CEO Bonnie Allin delivered last year at the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) North America/Europe Airport Customer Service Forum, held in Croatia.
Allin's multi-media presentation highlighted best practices in airport customer service, ranging from the tried and true to the cutting edge. Engaging videos helped illuminate the effects of excellent customer service at Tucson International Airport and in other airports across the world.
This year's competition drew a total of 759 entries. Of those, only 89 organizations, or 12 percent, were selected by the judges as Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation winners. In addition to the quality of the presentation, the award entry was judged on the project's research, planning and results.
PRSA is the world's largest and foremost organization of public relations professionals. The Association provides professional development, sets standards of excellence and upholds principles of ethics for its members and the profession as a whole.
