"Mirror Mirror...", an exhibit of original, hand made clay ornaments surrounding looking glasses by well known Tucson ceramicist John McNulty is on display in the Tucson International Airport (TIA) Upper Link Gallery through October 24.Mr. McNulty has developed a repertoire of themes that ranges from darkly humorous and flippant, to romantic. There is Bacchus, the god of wine and fun-loving profligate; the classic image of love, hearts encircling the reflection; and the seductively sentimental boldly colored roses.
This artist's gift is that while he enables us to see ourselves, as we would like to be, he reminds us to giggle.
A ceramic artist for over 40 years creating functional and decorative pieces, he is well known to the patrons of the Tucson Museum of Art where he has managed its award winning gift shop for many years.
The exhibit is located on the ticketing level near Frontier Airlines.
